KVX DVI-D KVMエクステンダーは、標準のCAT5またはCAT6 UTPネットワークケーブルを使用して、最大100メートル（約330フィート）の距離からサーバーやコンピューターを操作できる製品です。PC接続ケーブルが同梱されているため、箱から出してすぐに使用可能です。
既存のキーボード、マウス、モニターを使って、サーバールームとオフィスのPCの両方にアクセスできるため、専用のリモートコンソールを用意する必要がなく、スペースの節約にもなります。1台または2台のモニターに対応しており、KVXは交通管制センター、医療施設、工業用倉庫、拡張ワークステーションなどに最適な低コストソリューションです。
KVXにはRS-232シリアルチャンネルが搭載されており、シリアル端末やタッチスクリーン、バーコードスキャナーなどのシリアルデバイスに接続できます。ローカルPCとリモートコンソール間を行き来する必要がなくなり、効率的かつ柔軟な運用が可能です。
また、KVXにはローカルビデオ機能も搭載されており、送信側で追加のモニターを使用することができます。接続されたPCの監視が必要な状況に最適です。
このエクステンダーはTAA（Trade Agreements Act）準拠で、無料の生涯技術サポートが付属しています。KVXは、コンソールを使いやすい場所に設置しながら、システム機器をホコリや汚れ、過酷な環境から守る安全な場所に設置する必要がある用途に理想的です。また、金融情報や個人情報などの機密データを厳重に保護されたデータセンターに保管しつつ、ユーザーがリモートアクセスできるコスト効率の高い方法も提供します。
