Marfrig, one of the world’s largest beef protein producers, needed to relocate its operational systems from an aging data center in São Paulo to a modern site in Santana de Parnaíba. The company also planned a technology refresh to replace outdated servers with newer equipment. As these systems support operations across 12 units, four distribution centers and corporate teams, Marfrig required a migration strategy that would maintain full availability of critical services. Marfrig needed to move a large and complex environment that supported thousands of employees and critical processes across multiple locations. Several systems operated continuously, which made downtime unacceptable. The addition of a technology refresh increased the complexity of the migration and required precise planning. The two-wave data center relocation was completed with no interruption to ongoing operations. All critical systems remained available, and essential activities such as distribution center operations continued without disruption. The modernized environment reduced the rack footprint significantly and improved processing performance. Key applications, including ERP functions, operated more efficiently after the migration due to the updated infrastructure.
