Product Features
- Terminates large 23-AWG CAT6A cable (up to 7.5 mm) with FMTP6AS shielded plugs.
- New high-precision die: S136 Steel teeth (wire-cut); tested for over 1,300 crimps without failure.
- Interchangeable dies (with previous R2 frames). Use with Black Box cable, plugs, and 8.0-mm boots.
This specialized tool is designed to crimp a CAT 6A shielded plug with external strain relief to a CAT6A shielded cable, specifically for use with large solid 23-AWG cable with diameters up to 7.5 mm. Excellent for CAT 6A horizontal cable terminations in modular-plug terminated link (MPTL) applications to equipment such remote (AP) access points or direct-connect networking equipment.
It features a new, precision-engineered crimper die made from Zinc-Aluminium Alloy and S136 Steel crimping teeth, produced with wire-electrode cutting technology for sharper, more accurate contact drivers.
