Anshuman Ruia is part of the second generation of the Ruia family that founded Essar. Essar was founded in 1969 by his father, Shashi Ruia, and uncle, Ravi Ruia.
Anshuman is known for his financial expertise and project execution skills that have been invaluable in Essar’s value creation journey. He was instrumental in overseeing Aegis, Essar’s erstwhile BPO business, which expanded more than tenfold within a short span of time. In 2014 and 2017, the Aegis business was monetised in two tranches at a value that was almost 20 times the amount invested in the business. He was also involved in the construction of the 20 million tons Essar Oil refinery in Vadinar, which is one of India’s most advanced refineries. The refinery was recently acquired by Rosneft and the Trafigura-UCP consortium following a landmark $12.9 billion transaction that was also the largest FDI in India’s Energy sector.
A strong believer in adopting a modular approach in project management, he has ensured that these assets of national importance were completed within committed timelines. Anshuman has always been a trenchant advocate for business turnaround and growth by taking bold decisions. Currently, Anshuman is leading Essar’s investment in asset-light, new age businesses in the technology and fintech domains. He is also involved in the Ports business where he is driving higher efficiencies and developing an international footprint. Anshuman’s deep knowledge of finance and corporate structure has earned him the respect of his peers. He is a member of the YPO (Young Presidents Organisation).
He is married to Radhika, and has two sons, Yuvraj and Yudhishthir. Anshuman is also a passionate connoisseur of music and a keen table tennis player.
Deepak Kumar Bansal joined Black Box in 2019 as part of the acquisition of Black Box by AGC Networks. As our Global Chief Financial Officer, Deepak is responsible for leading financial operations and strategic initiatives globally including fund raising, business control, and corporate governance. He is a seasoned finance executive and business enabler with over 23 years of extensive experience across various industry verticals. Deepak holds a Bachelor of Commerce with honors in Accounting, Business and Statistics, as well as Chartered Accountant (CA) and Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) designations.
Dilip Thakkar is a practicing Chartered Accountant, with more than 57 years experience in taxation and foreign exchange regulations. He is associated with several public and private companies as a Director. He is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. His association with the Board will strengthen the Board and Board process immensely.
Mahua Mukherjee joined Black Box in 2019, as part of the acquisition of Black Box by AGC Networks. She is responsible for the strategic human resources function in India, APAC, and MEA.
Mahua has over 20 years of HR management experience, of which more than 10 years have been in a senior HR leadership role with a strategic, operational, and country-wide focus. She has been associated with multinational and large organizations such as Capgemini and Reliance Infocomm, an organization with a global presence across Europe, North America, Middle-East, and Asia Pacific regions.
Mahua's expertise includes HR strategy with competency and capabilities in building practices and retention programs and initiatives. She specializes in directing and leading the full spectrum of strategic and operational human resources activities and processes with a keen focus on business model pyramid, manpower planning, succession planning, and performance management. Mahua holds an MBA in Personnel Management and HR.
Naresh is a seasoned Indian financial services professional with over 25 years of experience in business building and capital markets. During his career, he has held various operating as well as management responsibilities.
Naresh was one of the earliest Senior Partners at Edelweiss Financial Services, and was a key person involved in shaping it into one of the leading financial services firms of India. At Edelweiss, he led teams that built India’s largest domestic Institutional Brokerage business, a large coverage platform with some of the best corporate relationships in India, one of the most aggressive Equity Capital Markets platform and also a leading alternative asset management platform. During his 13-year tenure, he held various management roles including President of Edelweiss Capital, Senior member of Management Committee, Co-Head of Edelweiss Alternative Asset Advisors, Head of Coverage & ECM, and Co-Head of Institutional Equities. Naresh spent the initial years of his career in building and running an institutional equities sales & trading desk at ICICI Securities.
Along with building various financial services businesses, Naresh has also played an active role in advising Corporate India on business and capital markets strategy. This active engagement approach also led to development of very strong relationships with corporate India over the years. He remains an active Board member on a few of these corporates.
Naresh has also done extensive analytical work including identifying some of the most successful investment themes in India. His deep understanding of various asset classes and how they play out across business cycles is now being used in building out some of the most innovative strategies for alternative investing in India through his new firm Alpha Alternatives.
Naresh is an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, which is the premier business school in India and Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from the University of Mumbai. He is an avid fitness enthusiast and has run marathons. He is also an ardent reader.
Ms Neha Nagpal, is a graduate from the University of Warwick, England, where she studied BA [Hons] Law and Business Studies. From there she went on to do her LL.M in International Economic Law at the University of Warwick itself. Neha has a Diploma in the Law of Private Equity Investment in India from the online learning platform NotJustLEx. Being enrolled as a Lawyer in India for over a decade now, Neha has vast commercial- law and litigation experience at the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, National Company Law Tribunal, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, Competition Commission of India.
Neha has also advised Clients in transactions relating to re-structuring of Companies and Media/TV show productions. She has worked on several International Commercial Arbitrations representing Telecom Companies. Neha also represented various Telecom players as well as Coal companies, in the 2G cancellation and Coal block de-allocation case before the Supreme Court of India.
Neha was a part of the team of Lawyers who worked on the challenge to homosexuality laws in India before the Supreme Court, which led to the decriminalisation of homosexuality in India. She continues to actively focus on commercial law practice with a focus on white-collar crimes and represents various HNI[s] and erstwhile promoters of large companies in matters pertaining to PMLA, SFIO, CBI. She has represented various promoter[s]/companies in matters pertaining to the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code.Neha was awarded the Forbes 'Tycoons of Tomorrow' Award in 2018.
Sanjeev Verma is the Executive Director of Black Box Limited (formerly AGC Networks Ltd). He is also the President and CEO of Black Box Corporation (100% subsidiary of Black Box Ltd) since its acquisition by Black Box Ltd in 2019.
As Executive Director, he is focused on leading the organization toward its vision to be the leading global IT solutions provider known and trusted for our customer-centric approach, commitment to customer success, and continuous innovation.

Over his successful 12-plus year stint at Black Box, Sanjeev has served as CEO (Americas) & President of International Operations where he led the worldwide business and P&L (except India); was earlier the President & Executive Director responsible for overall P&L & growth strategies; and Executive Vice President of Global Sales & Business Operations where he was responsible for global sales & business operations and instrumental in building the company's global expansion strategies.
Sanjeev is a seasoned technology veteran with more than two decades of extensive global experience in the Information Communications Technology (ICT) sector. He has a highly successful track record in the areas of business operations, sales & marketing, consulting, M&A and start-up operations. He is a visionary with a deep understanding of diverse global geographies and his resilient leadership has been a key contributor to the company's success and global expansion.
Prior to joining Black Box, Sanjeev held management positions at Wipro, 3D Networks (acquired by Wipro in 2006) & Global Tele Systems both in the United States & internationally. He is based in Dallas, Texas.
Sujay R. Sheth holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from the Bombay University. He is also a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Currently, Sheth is the Managing Partner of J. K. Doshi & Co., Chartered Accountants, a reputed firm of Chartered Accountants, established in 1955.
Sheth's areas of expertise are finance and accounting. He has a deep knowledge of direct taxes and corporate laws and significant experience in the fields of transaction advisory, pre-acquisition studies, corporate governance, assurance, valuation, and direct taxation. He is involved in audit, taxation, attestation, and assurance functions for a wide selection of Indian and multinational clients.
