The Modem 3600 sends data at up to 33.6 kbps, and it can provide throughput rates up to 230.4 kbps.
If you send data on less-than-ideal transmission lines, the Modem 3600 has a number of features to enhance operations. These include echo canceling, automatic adaptive line equalizing, adaptive baud-rate selection, trellis coding, constellation shaping, transmit power selection, and non-linear encoding and precoding.
The Modem 3600 has top data center security and high speed - and 50-number callback security. You get digital speeds without being charged the monthly premium. Plus, the Modem 3600 can transmit sync or async data on leased or dialup analog lines.
With data-transfer calls originating from one modem, you centralize and consolidate your corporate call billing. And remote configuration enables you to tend to all those distant modems from your office!
You get the full complement of standard functions required in today's data centers: multiple configuration options (remote, front-panel LCD, or AT command set), full Group III fax capability, V.8-compliant auto-mode, and automatic rate adaptation. That means if your lines are fully conditioned, you get the fastest possible data rates between two modems.
