Media Converters

At its core, media converters are simple devices used to connect two devices or LANs that are not entirely relatable, due to different speeds, operation types, modes or media types (twisted pair, fiber, coax). Most common usage is to insert fiber segments into copper networks. This gives you the ability to extend your Ethernet network beyond the 100-meter limit imposed by copper cable. Media converters can be used anywhere in the network to integrate newer technology with existing equipment to support new applications, technologies and future growth. Instead of costly, across-the-board upgrades, media converters can extend the productive life of the existing cabling as well as the active equipment.
Commercial Grade Media Converters
Choose from a wide variety of modular chassis-based converters and compact, standalone media converters for copper, fiber, T1/E1, and coax cable.
Industrial Media Converters
Designed to operate in extreme temperatures, these converters have IP-rated cases, and for maximum redundancy, many offer multiple power options.
Managed Media Converters
Choose from a wide variety of managed and unmanaged modular media converters that work alone or in convenient rack mount chassis.
PC Adapters
Bring fiber-based Ethernet to the desktop. Choose from Gigabit and super-fast 10-Gigabit PCI-E adapter cards with copper, fiber, and SFP ports.
