Black Box Corporation Announces Acquisition of ACS Communications Inc.
ACS Communications Inc. (ACS) represents approximately $50 million in annual historical revenues
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA, October 16, 2008 -- Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ:BBOX - News) today announced the acquisition of ACS Communications Inc. (ACS), a privately-held company headquartered in Austin, TX. ACS has an active customer base which includes commercial, education and various government agency accounts. Annual historical revenues of ACS are approximately $50 million.
Patrick Welker, former ACS President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, “We are excited about our ability to make an immediate impact on the success of Black Box through our outstanding service delivery capability and broad customer base. This transaction is being accounted for as a purchase. The purchase price has not been disclosed.
