    No matter what type of video equipment you have, this extender works for you. It supports three video formats: Component video, S-Video, and Composite video. The receiver automatically detects the video type sent and makes the correct baseband outputs active.

    A convenient switch selector enables you to set the mode of operation. For Component video, the extender supports both SD (720p) and HD (1080i) transmissions along with stereo audio.

    Or you can extend S-Video and Composite Video along with stereo audio, or three channels of Composite Video along with stereo audio—all over a single fiber.

    Use it with standard equipment, such as TVs, monitors, PCs, VCRs, and more, as well as with advanced equipment, such as DVD players with progressive scan, HDTVs, and more.

    Superior images
    You’ll be assured of pristine images because of the digital transmission. Traditional analog transmission technology often results in poor image quality. But the all-digital processing technology in this system provides superior images—with no equalization or deskewing required!

    The Universal Video/Stereo Audio Fiber Extender supports 30-MHz Component video bandwidth, and 15-MHz Composite video and S-Video bandwidth per channel.

    In addition, the extender’s video channel is compatible with NTSC, PAL, or SECAM standards.

    Superior sound
    Plus, you get two stereo audio channels, which provide crystal-clear fidelity for the Universal Video/Stereo Audio Fiber Extender’s transmissions. It’s all because of the system’s all-digital processing technology.

    The two user-configurable audio channels can be set for balanced or unbalanced inputs and outputs. Also, it has a switch-selectable audio output gain boost of +0 dB or +6 dB.

    Fiber flexibility
    The Universal Video/Stereo Audio Fiber Extender works with both multimode and single-mode fiber (with an operating wavelength of 1310 nm), making it easy to integrate into your existing fiber wiring system.

    For distances up to 1.3 kilometers (0.8 mi.), use multimode fiber; for transmissions as far as 40 kilometers (24.8 mi.), use single-mode fiber*.

    What’s more, by using a single fiber core for your extensions, you can reduce the amount of cabling in your installation. There’s no need to run separate runs for the different video signals and audio. .
