Our search engine uses any or all keywords typed in the text box to give you product search results.
For instance, typing in kvm will give you a broader set of results than kvm switch cables.

    • There’s no need to use a tabletop KVM workstation in a server room full of Sun servers. Just put the keyboard, monitor, and mouse in the cabinet or 4-post rack itself and free floor space for additional server room equipment.

    The ServView KVM Drawer with LCD for Sun enables you to do just this by combining a monitor and a low-profile, notebook-style Sun keyboard with trackball mouse in a durable tray assembly—and it can be mounted in just 1U of space!

    By replacing an existing CRT monitor workstation in your server room with a ServView KVM Drawer with LCD for Sun solution, you’ll not only make better use of equipment space, you'll also significantly upgrade your video display technology and establish more user-friendly control over your rackmount servers.

    Ideal for server-dense rack installations, the drawer not only takes up much less space than a standard keyboard, monitor, and mouse, it can also be mounted at a comfortable working height for you. The keyboard and monitor tray attaches to the drawer case on ball-bearing telescopic slides. When you need to access your server, just pull the drawer out on its rails—it glides out smoothly—flip up the monitor, and you have control of your server. When you’re done working, just push it in.

    The ServView KVM Drawer with LCD for Sun works with all Sun servers, including those running the Solaris® operating system. The keypad on the right side of the keyboard can be used as a regular numeric keypad or as a Sun keypad for administration command functions. And because the mouse itself is a three-button mini trackball, you don’t need a separate surface for a mousepad.

    The 17" matrix TFT LCD panels provide video with up to 1280 x 1024 resolution (they also support the Sun native bootup resolution of 1152 x 900 at 76 Hz for Solaris). To fine-tune the monitor’s parameters to your liking, simply access the on-screen display (OSD) on the LCD panel. It gives you an easy-to-manage interface (in one of seven languages) for changing screen resolution and refresh rates, H-V positioning, brightness, contrast, and more.

    This ServView KVM Drawer’s unique fold-backward design for the LCD enables easy viewing while you’re typing at the keyboard or observing the monitor through a cabinet’s closed glass door. The LCD assembly features a membrane framed by an aluminum front cover that shields the screen and its internal circuitry.

    For optimal placement of the assembly in a 19" cabinet or 4-post rack, the ServView KVM Drawer with LCD for Sun comes with mounting brackets that you can adjust from 15.4" to 25.6" (39.1 to 65 cm) front to rear. For securing access to the workstation and from keeping the tray from sliding out, the drawer features a front-access lock.

    Need to control more than a single Sun server? Then add a compatible ServSwitch KVM switch to your application.

    The drawer includes a 2-in-1 KVM cable for drawer-to-server connections, as well as a 12-VDC, 5-amp power adapter. And, for maximum energy conservation, the LCD offers low-energy standby and suspend modes through VESA Display Power Management Signaling (DPMS).
