Keyword Search

Think of it as a high-speed dialup modem for ISDN. The ISDN Terminal Adapter 128K packs all the perks of a full-featured ISDN terminal adapter: front-panel LCD menu configuration and diagnostics, plus support for sync and async data. But what really sets it apart is inverse multiplexing.

In high-speed applications such as bridging and routing, the TA 128K supports 128 kbps on a single port (over both B channels) using the "BONDING" standard. Your network gets high-speed bandwidth-on-demand capability. The TA 128K can communicate with Switched 56K services and use the V.120 rate-adaptation standard, so there's no problem communicating with sites that don’t have ISDN service.

Dialing options to support any application.
The TA 128K accommodates many different dialing standards. The RS-366 dialing port matches most videoconferencing systems. Dial-on-DTR is compatible with bridges and routers with BONDing features. V.25 bis in-band dialing supports IBM® SNA systems like mainframes and the AS/400®. PCs can use standard communication packages like ProComm® Plus and Winfax® since the TA 128K has AT Command Set compatibility. The built-in keypad supports manual dialing.
