This next-generation HD View™ HDMI solution provides both long-distance CATx extension for digital 1080p/60-Hz video and audio plus the ability to communicate via IP with remote Ethernet peripherals.

Easy to set up and use, it’s ideal for high-end multimedia AV distribution and HD digital signage applications. It sends non-compressed (lossless), full-HD media signaling from a digital signage player or PC to a remote screen in real time without any video or sound degradation.

And because the extender uses easy-to-handle CAT5 or higher cable for multimedia distribution, you get more distance than what’s ordinarily possible with digital audio/video cabling—up to 328 feet (100 m) in a non-daisychained configuration. Daisychaining units together enables you to take digital media farther, up to 1968 feet (600 m) in a multi-hop daisychain of transmitters and receivers*.

Supports IP-based peripheral communications.
The HD View HDMI MultiDigital Extender system offers integrated IP connectivity to displays and display-side peripherals attached at its receiver.

Through this dedicated 10-/100-Mbps channel, you can communicate with Ethernet-based readers, camera sensors, or touchscreens from a central site. Even better, it also provides an Internet feed to a remote display!

The product featured here is the HD View HDMI MultiDigital Extender Receiver with Cables (HDV-HDMI-RZ), which includes HDMI, stereo audio, CAT5, and RS-232 serial cables. The receiver must be used with the separately sold HD View HDMI MultiDigital Extender Transmitter (HDV-HDMI-TZ).

This receiver has an HDMI 1.3a port for display output, as well as an 3.5-mm audio jack, a DB9 port for bidirectional control of remote serial devices, an Ethernet network port, and an RJ-45 interconnection port for the UTP link to the transmitter.

* A display can only be placed at the end of a daisychain.
