ChyTV makes it easy to combine graphics, video, and audio capabilities to create dynamic, eye-catching digital signage or messaging presentations. This self-contained system is simple to use and configure, and there are no expensive add-ons to purchase and master.
But don’t be fooled by its simplicity. ChyTV delivers professional-quality presentations without requiring the studio wizardry of a highly skilled video technician.
You can position and manipulate an image and/or text a number of ways. Display a video source image with graphics and text around it, superimpose a message over full video or a background, squeeze the live video window, independently resize and position graphics elements, and more. Graphics, text, and audio can be displayed on a single TV screen or broadcast throughout a large campus or facility with the use of multiple units.
The ChyTV system works with ordinary TVs and plasma and LCD screens—in your lobby, at a retail site, or around your corporate or educational campus—to broadcast messages that are tailored to a specific audience or for the general public. For just some of the many uses, see “Applications” below.
Not only can you create the content and message you need, you can also easily distribute it according a specific schedule. Reach different audiences at different times as part of a segmented, targeted marketing campaign. You can even set pages to display for a specific length of time during certain hours or days.
The system also enables you to insert graphics into the video stream at a push of a button. Stream ordinary video and when you want special text or graphics to be shown, just press the box’s BYPASS/INSERT switch. It’s that easy!
The power to create using powerful software.
If you’ve ever created a simple PowerPoint® presentation, you have more than what it takes to create a dazzling ChyTV display. Never used PowerPoint? No problem—you’ll find the system’s intuitive ChyTV Tools interface gives you all the tools you need to create informative and impressive digital signage.
The ChyTV Tools interface is, in fact, the engine behind the entire system. With it, you can:
Import and organize page elements for display.
Transfer files between a PC and the ChyTV unit via the removable flash memory card (included).
Assign graphics and text regions to either surround or overlay the video window.
Resize and reposition video regions from page to page with smooth dynamic transitions.
Schedule pages and their page elements for display.
Use preloaded templates to insert colorful, graphics-rich backgrounds.
Insert logos and animations.
Control the unit remotely.
Inserting text is a snap using the ChyTV software. It can be typed directly onto a page or imported from another source, such as Microsoft® Word. The software enables you to apply background colors, highlight text, and have your text run horizontally across your presentation as a crawl. You set the speed of the crawl and, if you like, have it repeated as part of a loop and give it a soft mask (with transparent soft edges at the start and end of the displayed text).
You can even insert your favorite PowerPoint elements into a presentation. Images, text, and tags placed on a PowerPoint slide are saved as HTML for conversion by the ChyTV software. Thumbnail images provide you with previews of your converted pages.
Straightforward setup, plus network connectivity.
ChyTV operates as a standalone device and offers optimum reliability. When it’s added to the video/audio path, it works with various external sources, including cable and satellite TV systems, as well as DVD players, VCRs, and other media players. Just position the unit between an external TV tuner (such as a cable box) or a direct video source (such as a DVD player or VCR), and a TV.
Once you connect ChyTV to your video source and the TV with the included cables, the system’s software guides you through the configuration and content-creation process.
The box also features a 10/100 Ethernet port for direct network connections and for downloading content and schedules via the Internet. Just assign the ChyTV unit an IP address and use a networked PC to control a ChyTV presentation, make live data updates, upload files for broadcast, and perform other advanced functions. Compact and lightweight, the metal ChyTV chassis is easy to move and use in temporary installations.
Want to control multiple ChyTV units? The standard user interface enables you to manage up to 20 systems on a network. Additional management solutions are also available to support larger enterprises containing thousands of ChyTV systems. For details, contact our FREE Tech Support.
