BLACK BOX Catalog Wins Catalog of the Year for Second Consecutive Year!
Also wins Computer Equipment and Software category for unprecedented tenth year in a row
Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ:BBOX) announced today that its 2004–2005 BLACK BOX® Catalog was named Catalog of the Year in the Twentieth Annual Catalog Awards competition. The awards, hosted by Multichannel Merchant, formerly Catalog Age magazine, were held in Orlando, FL. In addition to Catalog of the Year, the BLACK BOX Catalog won a Gold award earlier in the same ceremony for the highest excellence in the Computer and Software category.
The awards, conferred as “tributes to catalog excellence,” mark the second consecutive year that Black Box has earned the top honors as Catalog of the Year. This year is also the tenth year in a row that Black Box has been recognized as the best in the Computer Equipment and Software category.
The catalog was one of 85 finalists selected from a field of more than 200 entries in 28 categories. The awards are based on a point system given by a panel of judges. The Catalog of the Year award recognizes the one catalog with the most points overall. The judging criteria encompasses areas such as merchandising, creativity, services, customer services, and catalog effectiveness.
“I am delighted for our catalog team and the Black Box team at large,“ said Julia Leigh, Black Box’s Manager of Publication Services. “These awards are a great honor, particularly winning Catalog of the Year for two consecutive years. It is quite rewarding to have our Company’s efforts and commitment to excellence recognized by our peers and Multichannel Merchant’s panel of experts.“
