Black Box Announces $25,000 Data Center Upgrade Contest
Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ:BBOX) announced today the launch of its new Data Center Upgrade Contest. One First Prize winner will receive a data center upgrade valued up to $25,000.
Black Box is asking entrants to describe their worst data center challenge. Problems may include anything from tangled cables and closets stuffed with servers, monitors, keyboards, and mice to system downtime and poor planning.
Black Box will select one entry as the First Prize Winner and will untangle, organize, and maximize efficiency in the winner’s data center. Depending on the winner’s application, the data center upgrade may include KVM switching, storage, firewalls, routers, switches, wireless products, or virtually any of the more than 90,000 data, voice, or video networking products that are marketed and installed by Black Box.
The Second Prize, awarded to one entry selected by Black Box, is $5,000 worth of “Black Box Bucks” to be used toward a 50% discount on retail prices on Black Box® branded products.
The contest is open to corporations, schools, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and even home offices. Complete details about the contest, a Web entry form, and contest rules are available at blackbox.com. No purchase is necessary to enter; void where prohibited. Only entries submitted through this exclusive Web entry form will be considered; the contest runs through March 31, 2005.
