Black Box Corporation Announces Acquisition of Scottel Voice & Data, Inc.
Scottel Voice & Data, Inc. (Scottel) represents approximately $40 million in annual historical revenues
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA, March 30, 2009 -- Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ:BBOX) today announced the acquisition of Scottel Voice & Data, Inc. (Scottel), a privately-held company headquartered in Culver City, CA. Scottel has an active customer base which includes commercial, education and various government agency accounts. Annual historical revenues of Scottel are approximately $40 million.
Duncan Robertson, former Scottel Chief Executive Officer, commented, “We believe this is a terrific opportunity for both Black Box and Scottel. With the broad array of voice and data products and onsite services that Black Box offers, we will continue to not only maintain but grow our existing customer base.” Mr. Robertson will report to Crosby Smith, Vice President - West Region.
