Black Box Now ISO Certified for 14 Straight Years

Re-certification emphasizes the Company’s commitment to quality.

PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA, November 12, 2008 – Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ:BBOX) today announced it has received ISO 9001:2000 re-certification for its U.S.-based voice and data services and product manufacturing locations.

Since 1994, Intertek, a leading third-party registrar, has assessed the Company’s quality management systems against the ISO 9001 standard during a rigorous auditing process.

“We’re deeply committed to quality and have even taken the comprehensive step of requiring not just our product manufacturing location but also our data and voice services locations to be certified,” said Louis A. Gorga, Director of Operations for Black Box. “When combined with our more than 30 years of experience in the industry, our ISO 9001:2000 certification offers our customers the assurance that we’re here whenever they need us and are committed to providing the highest level of customer service to our clients around the world.”

“Black Box has embraced the process approach with established metrics that drive continual improvement. The organization uses innovative approaches to customer satisfaction for both external customers and the organization’s internal customers,” said Teri Bonny, the Intertek lead auditor performing the re-certification audit.

Black Box also holds ISO 9001:2000 certifications in Canada, Europe, Latin America, and the Pacific Rim.

First released in 1987, ISO 9000 is a series of quality management system standards created by the International Organization of Standardization (ISO), which is a federation of 132 national standards bodies based in Geneva, Switzerland.
