Black Box Catalog Wins Catalog Of The Year For The Third Time!
Also wins Top Award in Computers, High-Tech Equipment and Software Category for the Twelfth Consecutive Year
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA, May 25, 2007 - Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ: BBOX) announced today that its 2006 BLACK BOX® Catalog won the Catalog of the Year Award at the Annual Conference for Catalog and Multichannel Merchants held in Boston, MA. In addition to Catalog of the Year, the BLACK BOX Catalog won a Gold award for excellence in the Computers, High-Tech Equipment and Software category.
The Catalog of the Year award marks the third time in four years that Black Box has earned the highest honor, an unprecedented accomplishment. This year is also the twelfth year in a row that Black Box has been recognized as best in its category.
The catalog was one of 64 finalists selected from a field of 200 entries in 17 categories. The awards are based on a point system given by a panel of judges. The Catalog of the Year award recognizes the one catalog with the most points overall. The judging criteria encompasses areas such as merchandising, creativity, customer services and catalog effectiveness. Winners will be featured in Multichannel Merchant magazine’s annual awards issue in September 2007.
"I am delighted for our catalog team and for Black Box," said Black Box Publication Services Manager Julia Leigh, who accepted the award. "These awards are a great honor, and it is particularly rewarding to be recognized by our peers for Catalog of the Year for the third time. Most of all, the awards are a testament to our focus on the customer."
The catalog, long known as the Big Book, features 900 pages of data, voice, and networking and communications services and products, and is divided into 15 different sections, including comprehensive technical reference information.
